Welcome to Treasure Yoga
and Traditional Healing
Kristi is a Native American from the California Valley Miwok Tribe and grew up learning the traditional ways to harvest plants and make remedies for everything from colds and flus to psoriasis and eczema, to arthritis and insomnia to cancer or body rot (Native American term for cancer). As a Miwok, she knows healing comes from within and starts with loving yourself and changing your non-serving thought patterns. She believes that god energy guides you and helps you begin the healing within. She has always been deeply connected to energy, breath, nature beings, animals and signs from a higher source. She worked for 16 years as a dental assistant and after 7 years she began bringing yoga, breath-work, and healing mindfulness to the dental chair. She was able to create a peaceful relaxed space in an intimidating environment. Patients were able to breathe and relax after hyperventilating and being so tense that they were unable to open their mouths. Storytelling helped them relax, feel restful and trust that they were in the hands of someone who truly cared for them. She was amazed by the dramatic results and soon got a second job as a yoga teacher which quickly became her full-time job. As a lifelong creative movement enthusiast, a lover of children and of storytelling she began incorporating dance and storytelling in her yoga and children's classes. What she didn’t expect were so many people coming to her for advice on their life and wanting to tell me everything. My clients new that it was safe to talk to me and that their personal information would always be confidential and never judged. She now works 1-1 with clients showing them how to turn pain and grief into purpose and peace by connecting with their source. Kristi shows her clients how to use ancient philosophies, herbal remedies and Native American techniques to create lasting healing and wellness.
